We're excited to announce the release of a new version of our excellent spam call blocker KnownCalls. So, what have we improved?
In version 25.06.09 we fixed an issue that caused the app to crash unexpectedly, which occasionally troubled some users. Additionally, the app no longer mistakenly allows unknown calls to go through. Version 25.06.09 is already available on knowncalls.com and will soon appear in third-party app stores.
Moreover, on the Google play app page, in the “information” tab, we've added a link to knowncalls.com, where you can download and try the SMS-silencing version of KnownCalls. Learn more about the two types of KnownCalls here: https://felenasoft.com/knowncalls/ru/knowncalls-app-types/
If you missed the previous releases of KnownCalls, below is a recap of the changes made since version 24.04.17 of April 17, 2024.
So, in version 25.05.07 of May 7, 2025 we refined permission requests: the app now asks for permissions essential for its operation. KnownCall remains free and does not require an Internet connection.
Version 25.04.25 of April 25, 2025 introduced several major improvements:
1) Copying phone numbers. You can now copy numbers from the built-in KnownCalls Call Log if you want to return a call or look up a blocked number online. Simply press and hold a number for a few seconds – a new “Copy” option will be available in the appearing menu.
2) Fixed mixed calls issue. Previously, Android sometimes revoked the app's permissions after some period of use, causing KnownCalls to miss unwanted calls. This issue has been resolved, ensuring consistent blocking.
3) Accidental tap protection. We increased the spacing between the blocking switch and the help icon to prevent misclicks.
4) Reinstall suggestion. If you repeatedly declined essential permissions, the app will now suggest reinstalling it. It's a much simpler solution than adjusting settings manually.
