Video format issue

Postby jellenson » Tue Nov 27, 2007 3:15 pm

WebCam Looker appears to limit the resolution of my video image to 320X240 pixels, although my camera is supposed to be generating 420 horizontal lines, and the image I see in my video capture card has higher resolution than what I see in WebCam Looker. Is there a way to increase the image resolution in WebCam Looker to match the potential resolution of my source camera?

Good evening,

[Even this message was answered in private email one month ago, it would be a good idea to repeat thoese answer here in forum...]

Looks like you capture cards selects low resolution by default, instead of the highest available for the connected camera...

You can increase its resolution at WebCam Looker:
Settings->Sources->Edit Source->Advanced Settings->Video Settings.
OR, from Popup (right mouse click at Main application's window) -> Device Setup->Video Settings.

Note: some capture devices could be capable to grab only on 320x240 resolution, or have buggy driver not able to change reolution. In this case we would recommend to look at the manufacturer's website for the latest version of the driver for your capture card.
