I have a Mac mini that's running a fresh install of OS 10.11.6 and Xeoma 2016.12.26 with two usb cameras. When I install Xeoma, it complains that port 8090 is in use, even thought I know it's not. So, I change it to 10090. I get the error "The server part of Xeoma isn't launched on this computer." I've uninstalled/reinstalled and each time it's a different scenario. Sometimes it wants my activation, others it remembers from the previous install. I've looked at all of the support docs on how to remove the app manually, but to no avail, I keep getting the error.
I try to install the server, it says it's installing, requires my authorization, then simply closes the app. I fire the app back up, I get the same message. I uninstall using the install menu, remove all items (including settings), and nothing seems to help. Between each uninstall, I reboot, after the install, I have rebooted and not, nada.
The last install, I uninstalled, rebooted, installed and activate the license, rebooted, add my cameras, and immediately I have (in each camera view) "The server was restarted incorrectly". I hit "Install->License to Autostart" and I can't change the password. I get "Installed version will be removed." I give it Administrator rights, and the app closes. I fire the app back up and I get "Port 8090 is in use" (it's not, but Xeoma thinks it is). I change the port to 10090 and I'm back to "The server part of Xeoma..." I cancel out, go into Install->Install and check the boxes "Autorun the server part" and "Hidden mode" (per FelenaSoft's instructions). "Installation completed" feedback from the app. Reboot the mini and back to "The server part..."
This just keeps going and going and going...I'm ready to dump this app and go to something more stable.
HEEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!
As a computer consultant since 1984, this is frustrating me BEYOND belief!
