User login cloud

Postby Havouza15 » Thu Oct 19, 2017 12:56 pm

Hi!
Bear with a newbi to Xeoma

I have made a test install on a VPS to learn the system before we move to a dedicated server and launch our project.

On the web interface there is 2 demo users. When I try to login as one I get wrong password or User. As I know the pw as demo, what is the username. I thought is was Demo User 2 but its not

Another thing. Do I need a key for the license server? If so is it the same as the other license key?

By the way where is the login info and other parameters stored. I changed web password but I see the config is not changed

Regards

Hello! For Xeoma Pro Your Cloud the username is the name of the config-file corresponding to that user. Config-files are kept within the same directory where Xeoma was launched with the -cloud command, config folder. There you will find the file demoUser.config - so the right username is demoUser (mind the capital letter).
When you create new users via web interface, the name for the config-file will be created based on the e-mail you indicated with all extra symbols switched to underscore.
Code: Select All Code
Example:
my.test@mail.com -> my_test_mail_com

My first guess would be that you're looking in a wrong folder.
You might have different Cloud folders on your system so please make sure you're in the right one. For example, sort by latest change and see that you're where the actions are hapenning now.

Second guess. Is the server part up and running now? If it doesn't work, web interface is just a page, no actions behind it.

Third thing to check: rights to create files. Although a rare one, still needs to be checked. See if Xeoma server part is allowed to create files in the folder. For example, create a new config file there manually, by copying other user's config.

And, last but not least, see if the changes are saved, and wait a minute. It might take time for the server part to apply changes.

Hi!
I created the config for the new user manually by copy the demo-user and rename it. The user started to work directly so it seems to be correct folder. After the new file was created I could also login as that user both from clent and web. But after testing creating a second user the same problem, nu user config created

Ok, check if you're using a NEW password for the user you're trying to create. Try something new and simple like 123456 or like that.
Check if you can see the new user in Users List tab (upper panel).

Its no problem to create a new user in the web interface and I see him in the list. And I can login to the web and from the client. I have searched for the new user config file on the server but it does not exist
