History of Xeoma version updates: from beginning till today

Official version Xeoma 23.8.10 was released on August 10, 2023 and introduces a couple of fixes.

Namely, it's the operation of artificial intelligence options in the ‘Motion Detector’, ‘Object Recognizer’, ‘Cross-Line Detector’, ‘Visitors Counter’, ‘Parking Spots’ modules that was fixed.

Before the fix, there had been an issue that in old operating systems the modules would sometimes stop working after the Xeoma update, and in new UNIX-based systems Xeoma would sometimes display a false warning that a few more libraries were required for these features to function. This is fixed in the new release.

Usually we prefer to make posts about official versions of Xeoma, but the new beta version 23.12.7 is so packed with features we cannot wait to tell about them!

The new beta version Xeoma 23.12.7, released on 12/7/2023, has over 40(!) improvements, including _several dozens of new features_!

The new version’s most notable new additions are:

* thumbnail previews above the timeline in Xeoma’s Archive Player,
* simplified connection with QR codes,
* the long-waited for support for hardware acceleration in AMD Radeon graphics cards,
* automatic restoration of focus in ONVIF-compliant PTZ cameras,
* Text Recognition’s new optimizations to work with household or industrial meters,
* new notifications with mobile alerts about server outages, the search bar in Device List,
* support for webRTC in ARM-based machines,
* a special pass list in ‘QR Code Recognition’
and some more!

Besides, the following have been enhanced, too:
Xeoma’s search for cameras,
PTZ presets and tours,
API and console commands,
‘Face Detector (Emotions)’,

We are excited to inform our users that a new beta version of Xeoma was released last week – 24.12.3!

Earlier this year, we announced the new design of the program meant to improve both the visual part and the usability.

Menu panels that disappear when idle, a minimalist interface that doesn't distract you from the most important tasks and frees up more space for camera image, and optimizations that predict your choices – find these features and many more in the updated Xeoma!

Xeoma's 24.12.3 beta version continues introducing upgrades, not only including the changes of the previous betas, ver. 24.11.13 and ver. 24.10.1, but also showcasing the following additions:

+Improved smart scaling of Xeoma's interface depending on the system and the user's scaling choice;
+Fixed issues with displaying new interface elements (curves, positioning, color, transparency);

The software has been updated with many long-awaited options that will surely be enjoyed by beginners and professionals both:

• It is now possible to deactivate user profiles in the “Users” dialog. The dialog also contains the option to create an IP address whitelist;
• Two-factor authentication via e-mail for users has been added;
• The “Layouts” menu now has the option to select which PTZ cameras will be controlled with a joystick;
• You can monitor your cameras even more efficiently with the new option to hide window borders, also in “Layouts”;
• Any menu item can be moved to the bottom panel to serve as a quick access button;
• All desired features now can be tested quickly and effortlessly: the program now has a default demo camera.

Last week we released the 25.1.23 beta that contained such long-awaited, enhanced and novel features as:

• Two-factor authentication via e-mail;

• The frameless mode has been optimized for Android;

We are glad to announce that the long-awaited official version of Xeoma, 25.1.30, is now out! Xeoma accompanies the beginning of the new year with such features and options as:

• Temporary user deactivation in the “Users” dialog;
• Creating an IP whitelist in the “Users” dialog;
• Two-factor authentication via email;
• Choosing which cameras will be controlled with a PTZ joystick;
• Frameless mode in the “Layouts” menu;
• Adding any menu items from the main menu to the bottom panel for quick access (up to two!);
• A demo camera in the “+” menu;
• A minimalist, intuitive Settings Wizard available right after launch.

The existing features of Xeoma have been complemented with the following enhancements:

• Optimization of “Smoke Detector”, “Slip and Fall Detector”, “My Detector”, etc.;
