Record to NAS share problem windows

Hello.
I'm testing xeoma and i've installed it on my windows 8 pc, with xeoma running as service.
I've mapped y: to a qnap nas share that have full access rights for everyone.
When i try to change the recording path of a camera, it reverts to the original path.
Seems that xeoma cannot gain access to the y: to write the data.
Tried all suggested FAQ ways, by adding "net use" command to autorun, without success.
Tried to start the xeoma service as administrator in the windows services console, but no success, i cannot change the default path of the recorded footages.
Changing path to another folder on the pc itself, works.
Is there a way to read some log to see what really happens?
Has anyone had success in recording to a NAS?

Hi,

What is exactly the path, please, that you're inputting in Xeoma? We might check then if there are any spelling mistakes, forbidden symbols, etc.

Hello, \\nas\rec
This is the path. I suspect something wrong in my share.
Have you tried to save the video on a nas share? Does it work? If yes, i will try to find out what's my problem.
Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you should mount the storage as a regular disk in your system like disk D:, E:, etc. After it's mounted this way, enter the full path (e.g. E://xeoma/media/) into Xeoma and you'll get the records in there.

Hope this helps!

Thank you but none of the mentioned methods works.
I ended up by attaching an usb drive instead of using a nas share.

Xeoma also offers mounting with its own means. You can enter net use commands in Xeoma's Main menu - Install - Autostart settings.
The entered commands will be executed from your next reboot.
