Xeoma 16.4.8 evaluation. Choppy live view and recording

I have 16.4.8 installed on a headless Ubuntu server running 16.04 and AMD 8350 with 24 gigs ram.

The client is installed on Windows 7.

2 IPoE cameras, Laview LV-PB932F4 (which I think are hikvision knockoffs)

The problem I'm having is the live view is choppy, as are the recordings. Watching the stream in VLC is smooth.

Can I get some help to figure out why?

Also, how do I delete archives through the client?

Thank you.

I have a very similar setup, Ubuntu server on a G1840, 8GB RAM, 3 Hikvision 3MP cameras running at 3Mb/s, Windows Clients. The amount of RAM and CPU I'm using are considerably less than yours and I have one extra camera, yet my RAM usage and CPU load is very low.

What's your system load? Are you using the low resolution substream for motion detection? What bitrate is the main stream at?

You can delete archives by going to the play archive screen, then going to the menu button on the lower left. It's pretty easy from there.

Could you please tell me what url do you use in Xeoma? Does the same url work smooth in VLC player?
