Missing Image...

Postby BamBamm » Mon May 09, 2016 6:25 pm

My camera is working as I can use other software, such as BlueIris and CMS, but Xeoma isn't displaying the image.
Xeoma is constantly searching for the camera. If it finds it, it asks for the username and password. I enter the information, and then Xeoma goes back into search mode.
Every now and then, it pops up saying "Waiting for image from camera" or "Camera image is missing or isn't changing." Sometimes I can view "world cameras" but not always. Xeoma has worked on my camera's before, but stopped working Saturday, when I upgraded from the trial software.

I have Xeoma running on CentOS 7 with dual Xeon's and 32Gb RAM and on a Dual Xeon Windows 10 box with 96Gb RAM. Neither system displays the camera's image in Xeoma.

Hi!

What Xeoma version do you use?

Does the camera work fine in a browser?

Please check its web admin page in a browser to see if you can find anything unusual there and repeat the IP/password search (option in the "+" menu in the panel below) with this new data.

Alternatively, you can configure the device manually (click "Add new camera" in "+" menu, then go to the camera's settings and fill in fields there). Most probably, you will need to select "Manual Setup" instead of manufacturer there and specify the full URL of MJPEG/JPEG/H264/MPEG-4 stream from your device - you will need to consult the device's documentation to find the right URL.

Another option in regard of finding the correct URL would be opening up access to your camera for our operator by giving us the camera's external IP address, so that we could add support for your camera to Xeoma. To do that, please tell us your camera's external IP and login/password information or Team Viewer ID and password to connect to your desktop.

Usually you just type your camera's IP address in a browser's address bar. This way you will log in to IP camera's admin page. If you don't know the camera's IP address, try following the instructions in camera's documentation.
