I have a new copy of xeoma from this site and when I try to install it it "pdm trojan win32 generic" from Kaspersky total security 2016. how do I get around this?

Hello! Please make sure that you have the latest database updates for your antivirus software.
Xeoma contains no viruses, no spyware or adware. You can check it yourself by using any online antivirus (e.g. http://www.virustotal.com).
As for Kaspersky Total Security, it is a false triggering. You can ignore it. We've already contacted Kaspersky Lab about rectifying this issue.
