Raspberry Pi - network share

Postby charcov » Fri Sep 30, 2016 3:28 pm

Hi guys,

i am having really strange problem. I have installed Xeoma on a Pi 3 (working really nice with 4 cameras). I also have a windows share (a whole empty 2TB disk) mounted like this

Code: Select All Code
//IP/Share /mnt/LOCAL cifs auto,x-systemd.automount,user,uid=root,gid=users,rw,suid,username=USER,password=PASS,workgroup=GROUP,iocharset=utf8,_netdev 0 0

The share mounts with no problem, i can access it and i can write to it with no problems, however i cannot for the life of me make the Xeoma use the mount, when i enter the path for the archive and press "OK" it reverts back to the default path (/usr/local/Xeoma/XeomaArchive).

I will appreciate any help because the next thing i will have to do is move the installation away from the raspberry (and i am not sure whether i can move the license).

So i tested with an NFS share and oh joy it worked flawlessly :D it recognises the remaining space etc.

Has someone an idea what did i do wrong with the CIFS mount?
