Did connecting to server get slower?

Postby jrmymllr » Fri Jan 13, 2017 1:23 pm

This is a minor issue, but something I've noticed. After a recent update, but I don't recall which one, it takes the Windows client considerably longer to connect to the server. It's over a 1Gb LAN so that's no problem. The client itself starts nearly instantly, but the spinning circle is visible for several seconds, then the box that contains login information appears briefly before displaying the video feeds. Nothing else has changed about the server or client computer lately. Has anything changed to slow this down?

Hello!

What version of Xeoma do you use? 16.12.26?

There weren't major improvements that could cause the issue. You can check the size of archive.db file (path: http://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/articles/settings/)
Xeoma might take time to reindex the archive if there are many folders (and archive size is big) in the beginning.
