I am looking for a surveillance software the will support 32-50 cameras.  I need a software that I can run on a server with disk space on our SAN and record movement. Do I need a special video card to do this or will Xeoma do that.

No special cards required, Xeoma Video Surveillance Software will do that.

With Xeoma you can connect as many IP- or Wi-Fi cameras as you have.
As for USB cameras, you do not probably have enough USB ports to connect so many, so you can create a cluster of Xeoma machines (using Xeoma network transmitter/receiver modules) to send all data to NAS or central servers.

We hope that this information helps. If you have further questions, you are welcome to ask them.

It is bettert you get a DVR card to get a proper connection on the cameras...
