Hello
i've got a strange problem.
I've an hikvision camera pointing on a street where some cars moving from left to right.
When i search for motion, xeoma finds some movement (with the green rectangle moving from left to right), but i cannot see any real car.
It seems that it has something to do with date/time in the recorded metadata, not matching the real date/time of the video source.
Anyone else has this problem?
PS: i have "continuously" motion detection enabled.

Thank you for detailed description of the issue.

Say, do you see a real car some seconds later or before the green rectangle? Or maybe just in another area of the picture?

It sounds like if your Preview stream is somewhat different from the Archive stream. The motion detector works with the Preview stream, it detects a motion (a car) and sends its coordinates (metadata) to archive. But if the Archive stream shows different picture, the metadata gets in the "wrong" place on that picture. Does it make sense in your installation?

What to do: the best would be to use two more similar streams so that the green rectangles fit better.
Did it help?

Regards,
Admin N

Hello
I don’t actually see the car. I’ve the “save stream direct to disk” activated. You pointed me in a right direction. I’ll try to made sone combinations an i let you know.
The main h264 stream is 4k and the preview stream is way lower.

Hello
i noticed that time's difference betweeen the playback timeline and the time showed in the camera is about 6 minutes.
If i search for a motion, XEOMA finds it but i don't see any physical motion in the imace because because of this difference in time.
Both XEOMA's PC time and all my camera's time are up to date via NTP.

PS: i noticed this as well: the time difference is 1 minute at the very beginning of the playback timeline and it increases until about 6 minutes at the very end of the playback timeline (the playback timeline has a timespan of about 15 days).
I'm recording the stream with the following options enabled:
"Enable H264/H265 recording to Archive without conversion"
"Use H264/H265 stream (from Archive) in single camera view mode"

Hello! Please try the following:
1) Universal camera settings, uncheck the box Buffered video stream reading
2) Layouts menu -> Disable buffering on the client side
Let Xeoma record the archive for a few hours and check it. Are there any inconsistencies this way?
