advice on USB cam

Postby briferenzi » Fri Aug 10, 2012 8:43 am

Hey guys! Your program is great! I totally like the new layout! My question is not about it tho, it;s about my USB cam. Sometimes it has glitchy effects like slices of upper part of image being moved to the left or right. Because of that Xeoma gives me false alarms. What can I do to avoid those false alarms?

Hello and thank you for your feedback!

We are eager to help.

Try switching from USB 1.1 to 2.0 (and vice versa, depending on what you use) in BIOS of your device. If that doesn't help, plug your cam in to another USB controller.

If all above written is of no use, we suggest that you should select a zone in motion detector that will cover only the part in camera view that doesn't jitter to avoid false alarms. Also, you can use detector's "delay" parameter to 1s to ignore small camera glitches or light changes, etc.

We hope that helps!
