So since there is no iOS app and there does not seem to be coming the only thing that can be used is the webinterface?

Simply connect the Web server module to the camera in chain. Enter its settings, where you will find the links (URLs) to access various streams - JPEG images, MJPEG video, Flash video with sound, web server general page to view all cameras that have a Web server module connected to them on this computer.

So even if I have a camera that records in H264, it will be converted to bandwidth sucking MJPEG before it's sent to my mobile device on a 3G connection?
This is sad and not the way this is supposed to work :( Why not use HTML5 video?

Well, you can use Flash broadcasting - it has compression. Specially for bandwidth-limited connection, it additionally offers choice of resolution to display. Please give the option a try.
