Archiving is working for a local drive but not for external NAS storage. Any ideas?
We are using LaCie 5 big 8 TB NAS.

Xeoma works with any NAS, including cloud discs, that are mounted into the system as an ordinary drive.
Looks like the mentioned NAS is based on 64-bit Intel Linux (Debian)? In this case you can install Xeoma right on board the NAS.
Or mount the NAS as an ordinary drive to the PC Xeoma is installed on - this way you will be able to use it in Xeoma.

Did you ever get this resolved?
I switched over to Windows 64 Xeoma and can only archive successfully to my local OS drive.
Other drives will appear to record but will only create an occasional file and dated folder, but the files don't show up as recorded archives. If they do show up in the calendar, nothing will play.
Set it back to my local OS drive and things will be fine again.

I did have a permissions problem with the archiving in Ubuntu but am no longer on Ubuntu.

Dave,

Are those other drives virtual discs mounted in the system? Or are those regular hard discs?

If it the former, perhaps the root of the problem is different speed in mounting the discs (naturally, physical discs have priority in the system) if Xeoma server is installed to start with operating system start. Then we'd recommend you to try the following:
1) just in case, before you start, make a backup copy of settings and archives (here's where the settings are being stored);
2) in Main Menu - Install - Autostart settings write the commands to mount discs as shown in example.

Does it help? If it's not applicable in the situation, please share more details with us so that we could help.
