Xeoma Still creating snapshots after exiting client

I was evaluating the trial version and as the subject states, I noticed that snapshots were still being created in the designated folder after I exited the client. I had to kill the process in task manager to stop it. Is that normal operation since I noticed a server icon as well?

I liked the intuitiveness of the software. I was able to get it up an running in minutes.

Thanks for any help

Apparently, you have installed the server part of Xeoma to autostart which means that it will be working all the time the computer is on, even if the client part is closed.

When you run Xeoma from the executable file, the server and client parts are bundled into one, and closing the client will also close the server. But when you install any or both parts to autostart via Main Menu -> Install -> Install (or console command), they are separated.

That all said, you can uninstall Xeoma via Main Menu -> Install -> Uninstall and run the executable file when you need it instead, then closing client will also stop and close server. Installation is optional.
