New Purchaser here, need some help please :¬)

Hi :¬)

I am a new purchaser to Xeoma and I am using latest 15.2.25 on windows 7 64 as a service/client.
I am Loving it I have tried and rejected - many others.

Problems I have are

1) Ideally I would like 7-10 seconds pre-record due to the nature of my surveillance.

2) The pre-record feature gets TURNED OFF completely if you use the …
“Disregard motion shorter than” Feature :¬( - tried 500ms and 1sec
I need this feature to eliminate flashing car lights of camera adjustments :¬(
Maybe a sensitivity upper and lower threshold would help

3) The email video feature seems to have a mind of its own
Breaking up videos into small videos instead of one large one
Ideally I would like one video for the duration of the motion captured event
I have enough space to do this on my SMTP outgoing email system

If you can help me on any of these problems I would be very grateful
As a Visual Studio C++/C# programmer I understand is not always that simple
BUT I would love to beta test anything If you want

Thanks for making a sensible excellent product :¬)

I found out what's doing this and it was not obvious :¬(
If I include and Active Sound detector as well as a Motion Detector
The Sound detector destroys the Pre-Record facility of the Motion Detector

I think I might have to have 2 Archives one for sound and one for motion
I will report back

Ok I added another archive for the sound detector

didn't work but after I killed the service process tree and it restarted I believe the 2 archive work ok and motion detector is now using Pre-Recording properly

Multi archive for motion and sound seems to work but its a shame it cant be piped into one archive
I guess the sound detector would need to use the same pre-record buffer/logic for that to happen

On my last note
Email still splits up the videos into smaller chunks even though im sure I have the settings right

Please see url below for image because [url][\url] has stopped being available

Hello!

As we can see on the screenshot 'max duration of video with this max message size: 20 seconds'.
“Duration of video” is limited with 24 hours – which is difficult to send via e-mail. With this FPS and parameters the max size is limited with 20 seconds.

The other screenshot that you sent us says that all the videos are 1 to 28 seconds.
So with such quality of the video it is explainable (size of video also depends on scenery objects and colors).

If you want video to be longer, then you can try to use separate streams on the Universal camera module. Use stream with lower resolution for preview and videos will be longer.
More information here: http://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/articles/h264/

As for pre-record, we're planning to add longer pre-record in the future versions of Xeoma. Currently, in the beta version of Xeoma (15.4.16) it's available to use 5 seconds of pre-record in Motion detector module.
