Can Xeoma handle a USB Hub

Is it possible to use a USB hub with Xeoma as each webcam is assigned a unique ID for each USB port. Would using a USB hub confuse Xeoma?

I'm running Kubuntu and each webcam is given it's own ID;

/dev/video0 for webcam #1
/dev/video1 for webcam #2
/dev/video2 for webcam #3
/dev/video3 for webcam #4 and so on......

Hello!

Yes, you can use USB hub in Xeoma.
But check that there are not too many cameras connected, because usb hub's bandwidth is limited. So if there are too many cams, there's possibility that you'll not see them in Xeoma.

You can easily try all functions in Xeoma's Trial version: http://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/download/

It is NOT possible to connect more than ONE webcam to a USB hub as each USB port issues each webcam its own identifier and therefore is unable to issue the same identifier to more than one webcam connected to one USB port.

Please try to do the following:

1. Try to review ALL your cameras at the same time in another application to find out if the problem is connected with USB bandwidth. Can you review all your cameras?

2. Try to lower resolution for all your cameras in ‘Universal camera’ module’s settings (it’ll help to lower the load). What happens in this case?
