Exporting segments

Postby pooky2483 » Mon Jul 13, 2015 11:38 am

I have briefly looked at exporting segments but gave up after trying to set the segment to a full 24 hour period but gave up as every time I zoomed in, the pointers 'reset' themselves.
Is there a way I can accurately set a 24 hour period and have it export to a file every 24 hours?

Hello!

What version of Xeoma do you use? And what format do you use for exporting?
Please check that you have enough space to export 24-hours video.

Do you connect to server remotely?
In this case please check that network bandwidth is enough.

Hi.
I'm using V15.6.29 and 2 webcams with plenty of storage space. I'd like to use .AVI to export.

Thanks for your reply.

Do you connect to server remotely?
In this case please check that network bandwidth is enough. And also check that there's enough space on the Server.

Don't quite understand that one.
I have Kubuntu running Xeoma with 2 cameras connected via USB to the back of my tower, don't know anything about a server!

Hello!

If you connect locally (Xeoma is installed (both Client and Server) on the local PC), then you'll need to check that there's enough space to export the 24-hours segment.

Did you try to export in other formats?

I don't think you're understanding my question.
I am asking, HOW DO I DO IT?
I have seen there is 2 ways to do it but don't understand how to do either.

Export of a needed extract from the Xeoma archive is easy. Go to the Archive viewer, select Export mode in the menu of that window, place the markers to mark beginning and end of the extract to export. You will be offered with seleveral choice as to piece's resulting format, storage folder, etc.
