Daylight Savings Time (DST) ends

Postby lytledd » Sun Nov 15, 2015 1:41 pm

I've just noted today that the time on my cameras within Xeoma 15.10.26 (Using the Marking module) is off by an hour. This has been since we went off of DST. The server is a Ubuntu 14.04.2 64bit system and it's time and timezone is set correctly. Suggestion as to what I need to change?

Thanks,

Doug

Hello!

Please adjust time zones on Server/Client PCs manually. Or you can update to the latest version, it might help.

Also you can go to Main menu - Remote access - Users and check time zone there.

Would the preferred method be email or the forums? I have no problems doing either.

Along the same line as this thread. After setting the timezone within Xeoma, the time displayed is correct, but the email that is being sent from the software has the wrong timezone encoded within the email headers. I'm in EST with should be -0500 and the headers are showing +0500:

Date: Mon, 21 Dec 2015 18:19:23 +0500

'Sending email' module uses time that is setup on Server. So please adjust timezones. Also your PC's timezone might be different (on the PC with mailbox), please check.

Hello! Please check, as you can see, there's a difference between Universal time and Local time. It might influence.

You shouldn't be using UTC for the headers, you should be using the user's local timezone. There will always be a difference.
