Problems with cam installation and problem with input field

Postby kais » Tue Jan 12, 2016 10:16 am

Hi!

I found xeoma and it seems the right product for my needs.

So I tried it without installation in dmeo mode.

After a quick scan it founds my indoor D-Link cam and video ist displayed. WOW

At second step I would like to install my WLAN Outdoor 1080P ONVIV cam from DB Power (this one: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B015Z1SBIG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 ).

After network scan Xeoma comes up with the correct IP of cam and asks me for username and password.

I type in and - nothing happend. Cam was not be added :-(

After reading manual I tried manual installation.

And here is my problem:

Popup window for manual cam installation is very slow. Scrolling lags.

If I try to enter some information like username, I click into the form and start typing. But at first typo it lags and suddenly every char I typed is 5 or 6 times in the field, e.g. I try to enter "admin" als username and got result aaaaddddmmmmiiiinnn. Same happens if I try to copy&paste the word to the field. Wrote "admin" in textpad and copy & paste it to xeoma window. Result is "adminadminadminadminadmin"

I´m running Windows 10 personal (home) edition 64Bit on Lenovo X300s.

I looked at keyboard settings in window and disabled key repetition, but it doesnt matter :-(

Next try was to install xeoma server on my raspberry pi and only use xeoma as client on my notebook.

result:

Dlink cam comes up and works fine, DBPower cam was found, but ot recognized and manual installation hangs with the problem above.

So I´m very unhappy at the moment.

Can you help anyway?

Best regards,
kai

Your computer is struggling to keep up. First step is to see why? Open Task Manager (right click the bottom Taskbar and choose "Task Manager"). See how much CPU and memory you have and what is using it. (If you are running that laptop with the standard 2 GB of memory using Windows 64 then there is the issue. You need 4 GB of memory.)

Thanks for your answer. CPU load is round about 50% to 60% while I run Xeoma

Running Win 10 64 Bit with 8 GB Ram and SSD HD.

In other dialogs (in xeoma) there´s no problem. Only in the cam dialog.

It seems, that XEMOA continuous trys to connect to the given path ... starting at the same moment I type in the first char . That lags a lot.

If I try to search cam by ip/username it waits with connection tries until I click "ok".

In other software (like iSpay or Blueiris) there´s no problem with it.

But I like to have xeoma because the arm (raspberry) version.

I can't help with the ARM details and I was wrong, your computer appears to have plenty of resources. Have you tried adding the ONVIV camera manually? ONVIV appears to be first on the drop down list. I've had it where the auto-scan doesn't work for me but getting the details right on the manual entry is all that was needed.
Still doesn't answer the stuttering.......

Hello!

Such duplicating like 'addddddmin' happens when graphic card can not handle the load. You can update your graphic card's driver, it might help.

As for ARM-based machine, you need to check if your camera uses http, because rtsp is not available for ARM yet, but it will be soon. What is the error message that you get?

If you experience problems with Xeoma and need help, you can contact us using different ways (e.g e-mail, Skype etc.): http://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/contacts/
