Dear Felenasoft-team,
I'm using BlueIris as my CCTV software at home for almost 3 years now (currently 7 cams), but as this is a real CPU hog I'm checking for alternatives, preferred running with Linux because of the better overall performance (and also this could be an isolated ESXi-VM then). I've had a look to Xeoma yesterday and was really excited about this product, its capabilities and its ressource needs. Especially the modular camera configuration is awesome!
Also the communication with my home automation system (that's self-developed) could be done with a bit of firmware modification on my side.
It would be a perfect replacement ... BUT:
80% of the use of my CCTV system is done by us via IPhone/IPad. And compared with BlueIris the Xeoma app is - sorry to say with open words - crap.
We're getting push messages to our IPhones when a motion is detected and in the app we can see an alarm list sorted by camera, with timestamp and alarm pictures. "Clicking" on an alarm opens the player for the recorded event and that is transcoded on demand down to fit mobile data connections.
Are there any plans to implement at least these basic functions? I'd love to use Xeoma, but that's currently a blocking issue.
Thank you,
Marco
