New version Xeoma 15.10.22

In this new version we went even farther with Pro enhancements.

Now the edition also includes the Privacy Masking module that allows to dynamically blur areas in view of camera that you are not allowed to record. The module will come in especially handy in countries when recording private property is illegal.

We also enhanced regular Xeoma, namely work of FTP Upload module with several cameras (Falcon Eye, Tenvis).

New Xeoma 15.11.20 is released!

New version's highlights:

- modification of Free edition's conditions. It's become more similar to the Lite edition: they now have the same modules available. So, if you'd like to feel what using Lite will be like, just switch to the Free edition via Main Menu -> Information. Check more about editions here;

- fixed Problems Detector's false alarms caused by camera's Date and Time overlay, and the issue with sending notifications about appearance of a problem;

- fixed issues with FTP upload and PTZ on Mac OS, deletion of the "Preview and Preview" module, and crash that used to appear when camera was added in Xeoma Cloud.

This week, two versions of Xeoma were released: Xeoma 15.11.23 release version and Xeoma 15.12.3 beta version.

Xeoma 15.11.23 presents further modifications of the Free edition conditions: now it doesn’t offer features you wouldn’t need in a simple 2-cameras-installation to make it easier to use. Check full list of new Free edition’s features here.

Also enhanced is pre-record: now you can set it to up to 10 minutes. This will come in handy if you need to have recordings for some time in advance before the motion event started. Moreover, pre-record setting is moved to the corresponding destination module’s settings (Preview and Archive, Save to File, etc.) so now you can set different pre-record time, for example, for Email Sending, Archive and Save to File connected to the same Motion Detector.

Letters sent with the Email Sending module now show what camera they come from. Fixed installation false error message that client cannot connect to the server, and Motion Detector’s current sensitivity level issue.

On a slightly lighter still quite important note, also automatic re-indexing after archive path is changed was added. In this case, old recordings will be available in the Archive viewer automatically. Full screen mode of viewing several archive at one time is improved: lower panel is not shown then so you can enjoy truly full screen viewing. Problems Detector is also enhanced: if a problem appears and is resolved (or in reverse) only the last message of the two is shown.

Fixes include fixed Email Sending issue with sending emails even if a filter module is not in the “Skipping” mode. Fixed Linux issue with server start after program is updated.

Dear Xeoma users!

New version Xeoma 16.4.8 is released & already available on our site and in Google Play!

Since the last release, a lot of work has been done. Just look at the changes log:

Best news of all: Xeoma Client part for Linux/ARM microcomputers is finally available (in addition to the previously available server part). Moreover, Xeoma for Linux/ARM now supports RTSP cameras!

RTSP cameras are now also supported in Xeoma server for Android. Work of the client part on Android is optimized. Fixed search for motion in selected areas.

Added Face Blur: now you can use the Privacy Masking module to blur objects detected by a preceding filter (like Face Detector) in the chain.

Image overlay added to the Marking module (in addition to the previously available date/time, text, or GPS coordinates waterstamp).

Archive has been much improved. For example, support for keyboard arrows was added in Archive player. Pressing left/right arrows will move play slider 10 secs backward/forward.
Also added possibility to stop search in selected areas by exiting the player or clicking on the search progress bar.
Archive settings were enhanced as well: now you can see how much space in % is still free and available for Xeoma recordings.
Export from the archive now has a warning if there is no sufficient free space on the server or the client for export of the selected extract. Another warning will notify you if there are insufficient rights for export of the selected extract.

For your convenience, added possibility to save only audio stream to archive without video stream.

Added Fullscreen mode for Xeoma on Linux (Layouts menu –> Window settings).

Added support for the Tab keyboard button for quick jump between fields.

Enhanced work with cameras – now there will be less freezes when working with large amounts of cameras. More options added to Group settings section of the Universal camera module, including preferences for single camera view, archive storage and hardware acceleration.

Fixes are as follows:
Fixed the issue when Xeoma suddenly stopped recording video to archives.
Fixed sending SMS with the sms.ru option.
Fixed wrong modules’ name when logged in through LDAP.
Fixed processor load peaks when email messages were dispatched.

Time zone has been finally fixed but archive playback is not working for me. I can go into archive but video is not played back. It just shows static frame.

I'm seeing another problem with archive, a good part of the last day is missing from it.

Me too have issues with tine zone. Playback cursor can go 2 hours in the future and the playback seems to be shifted. Tested in a win 10 environment, by connecting from Android.
Timezones are correctly setup in xeoma client and server.

Wow, we don't seem to be able to repeat the issue. Could you please send us to tech support some details:
1) What version of Xeoma did you have before the update to the beta?
2) What OS is Xeoma used on?
3) What camera settings do you have in Xeoma? We're not after any sensitive data like passwords, you can blur it. But settings on the whole are important.
4) Are there archive files still being written on the disk while they are not viewable in archive player?
