Motion Detector - What is the blue box?

I'm stumped by this, and I cannot find any reference to it in the documentation, or the help text when configuring the motion detector module.

What IS the purpose of the blue box? Can I hide it in any way? It makes it difficult for me to know whether I painted the area with the white or red brush.

I've also noticed that the size of my blue box is much larger than that in the sample snapshot on the site (http://felenasoft.com/images/xeoma_motion_detection.jpg) Why is this?

Its actually 2 blue boxer and is the preview of the max/min size of object that are considered for motion detection.. Say you want to register people but not cars, then you can set the max/min accordingly..

Ah thank you. I only tried changing the minimum size, and saw no change on the box, so I thought it was something else.

I'm guessing it's not possible to disable that blue box preview showing up, other than temporarily reducing max size of object?

Yes, unfortunately, the blue boxes visualizing the minimum and maximum sizes of object cannot be turned off. We may be able to add the toggle for it via customization, though.
