A call blocked by KnownCalls is _rejected_, which is like when a person would press the Reject call button. What happens then really depends on your cell carrier, but usually the caller gets short frequent tones.
But if you have an active voicemail function on, then yes, the blocked calls are redirected there with a note from a robot. We advise to disable the voicemail if you use KnownCalls, or else it might be full soon.
You can also set up call forwarding of rejected calls to a non-existent number, so that instead of beeps the caller is notified that this number does not exist. Usually such forwarding is activated with *67+fullNumber#, and deactivated with ##67#. Contact your cell carrier for details and prices. It's not a KnownCalls's feature, it's one of the cell service provider's.
Besides, cell carriers and third-party services sometimes offer a virtual secretary option that will talk to the caller instead of you and send you a transcription of the talk. Find out conditions and prices from the carrier or selected service.
