Hi all,
I have 800 customers and over 7000 ip camera to handle, but before you make a change
in the software I need some information that I could not find
1. Features minimum hardware requirements for video surveillance on linux
Our current machines:
a) Intel Atom D2550 Dual Core + 4GB ram + SATA DOM
b) Intel I3, i5 + 4GB RAM + SSD
c) 2x Xeon Quad Core 3, xx + + 16Gb ram 10k RPM SCSI Raid 5
how many ip camera can be managed by each machine? the client are only on Itel Atom.
2. Can I install the client separately from the server without
having to install both, the same for the server
3. A license is required only for the display ip camera from a
client
4. For a customer with a license for 16 ip camera in case
Upgrade to 20 IP camera as you have to do, I can buy another 4 ip camera or do I have
purchase a single license for 20 ip camera
5. you can create a server 2 new users and assign them
a defined number of ip camera so that they are displayed on 2
separate client
6. For the Web service you can choose the streaming audio and video codecs
7. you can send a jpeg image every 30 seconds from ip camera to an FTP server?
8. you can start the client with access
automatically to the server using username / password in fullscreen mode
9. Registration service of NAS service uses: SMB, NFS, AFP, iSCSI, FTP?
10. How can I configure the SMS service with a personal sms gateway software,
without having to buy a GSM module or register a default service
Problems with the latest edition "free version":
1. ip camera with 720p H264 RTSP bedroom wing with direct connection
via VLC I have 20/25 FPS, using your software instead I third FPS why this
reduction of FPS, the hardware of the machine is a 1x Xeon 3.73 Ghz with 4Gb RAM
and Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit
2. some low cost ip camera "fiscal" are not detected automatically, you must manually enter
Thanks.
