*.xem video files to other extension

Hello all

Today i bought 14.11.19 . Very good software . But a little problem with the xem-files stored in my pc
In my Filemanager ( Directory Opus ) i want to see thumpnails of the video files and play them also in the Filemanager .
But with xem files it, s impossible
Any way to store the videos to other format ( mpg , mp4 ) ???
I tried to change file extension to mpg and mp4 . VLC doesnt regognize .

To play the .xem files take a look at the FAQ question number 6.

You can store the video in MP4 if the streaming of the camera is in MP4. Take a look at the help page at http://felenasoft.com/xeoma/en/help/modules/ look for the "Universal camera", there is an option to store the original streaming without converting it to XEM.

That's right!
You can either
- play the .xem (which is our proprietary format for MJPEG) files in VLC as descrived in the F.A.Q., or
- store the original H264 streams in mp4 (here's the guide), or
- use the Save to File module instead of your Preview and Archive module. Save To File will help you store recordings in next to any format. But the downside is that you won't be able to view such files in Xeoma's built-in archive player.
